Nine CBS Radio markets now using online spot tracking
New York (July 10, 2006) -- – Media Monitors has signed an agreement with CBS Radio to provide commercial airplay data for CBS Radio stations in Detroit and Dallas.
Radio spots played at major market radio stations are monitored continuously by Media Monitors and provide access to this data via its online database located at www.mediamonitors.com and used primarily by media outlets, media investment analysts and media researchers.
This brings to nine the number of CBS Radio markets using Media Monitors data. "We're quite pleased to offer CBS Radio stations in Dallas and Detroit our multimedia toolbox for tracking competitive data," remarks Philippe Generali, President/CEO of Media Monitors, "So that our timely and highly accurate data is now available for their radio sales departments." Joe McCallion, Media Monitors EVP, added, "Accountability in radio has become truly high-tech and instantly actionable with our same-day data."
Lynn Montemayor, General Sales Manager at CBS Radio station WOMC-FM/Detroit commented, "From competitive analysis to lead generation by category, the online services from Media Monitors make our sales managers in-the-know and up-to-date with the latest information."
In addition to Dallas and Detroit, CBS Radio stations' sales teams have been using Media Monitors data at their station groups in New York City, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Cincinnati and Denver.
Using data from Media Monitors, customers track the actual number of radio spots aired, see the actual spot sequence as aired, and can also play the audio of any spot aired. Access to this data is critical to media firms which often base advertising strategies on competitive actions. Receiving same-day data from Media Monitors means sales decisions can be made faster and with very current information.
